Ku Lian Pi, or Chinaberry Bark and Root-bark (Cortex Meliae), is the dried bark or root bark of Melia azedarach L., a traditional herb in Chinese medicine. Cold and bitter in nature and slightly toxic, it enters the Liver, Stomach, and Large Intestine meridians. It is primarily used to expel parasites, clear damp-heat, relieve itching, and treat skin disorders such as ringworm, eczema, scabies, and intestinal worms.
